Anjenita Davis

Anjenita Davis is a passionate community advocate, political strategist, and education reformer with a long history of service across Chicago. Born and raised on the Westside, she has worked closely with Westside churches to provide critical resources to the community and has served the Westside for several years. About 14 years ago, she moved to the Southside, where she continues to contribute through her role on the Local School Council (LSC) and her work in the South Suburbs.


A graduate of Northeastern Illinois University with a Master's Degree in Political Science, Anjenita currently serves as Chief of Staff for a state legislator and runs her own consulting business. She is also state-certified with several DCFS-required licenses, underscoring her commitment to serving youth. With over a decade of experience in managing external partnerships, she has overseen more than 100 collaborations and $8 million in grant-funded programs, including implementing the FUSE program into 26 Chicago Public Schools.


Anjenita serves on the Associates Board for Marillac St. Vincent on the Westside of Chicago and she is currently a member of RTDO, DWSS and DWSR, highlighting her deep commitment to both the Southland and Westside communities. Since 2010, she has been actively involved in supporting students in Chicago Public Schools, mentoring through programs like By The Hand, where she has used both dance and mentorship as a tool for academic improvement.


Her wide-ranging roles, including Director of Partnerships, Manager of Partnerships, and Manager of School Partnerships, have equipped her with a wealth of experience in education and community reform. Anjenita has worked directly with community members, families, educators, and stakeholders, ensuring that the voices of those most impacted by policy decisions are heard and addressed. She remains dedicated to ensuring equitable opportunities for all community members, leveraging her skills to build partnerships that foster empowerment and growth. Her work spans across multiple communities, driving positive change and creating inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
